Thomas Forester & Sons, Phoenix Ware vase with peacock

At Prices4Antiques, we often get asked what’s popular, and right now, one of the answers seems to be art pottery. Recently, we’ve had lots of searches for great examples of art pottery that have sold at auction, including a Thomas Forester and Sons Phoenix Ware vase; a Cramer double cornucopia vase (made from a Hull mold); a Hungarian vase by J. Fischer; a vase attributed to the Auman Pottery of Seagrove, North Carolina; and a Rose Cabat Feelie pottery vessel. One of the most common questions in the antiques marketplace is, “What’s hot right now?” At Prices4Antiques, we always see lots of searches for furniture and in the past seven days, we’ve seen searches for a Union National flame-grained veneered dining room suite, a Governor Winthrop slant-lid mahogany desk, a pair of Loeblein reproduction Georgian-style armchairs, a Jacobean oak armchair with triangle seat, and a Phoenix Chair Company Arts & Crafts rocking chair. These were the top five items viewed in our furniture section this week, but people searched for thousands of other antiques and collectibles at Prices4Antiques.com.

One of the most common questions in the antiques marketplace is, “What’s hot right now?” This week at Prices4Antiques.com, we saw porcelain searches beat out stoneware! We saw searches for a Johann Wanzenried charger with a painted scene of Interlaken, German Weimar Katharina pattern china, a pair of Samson armorial vases, a 1910 calendar plate from East Liverpool, Ohio, and a Herend figurine of a kneeling nude woman. These were the top five items viewed in our porcelain section this week, but people searched for thousands of other antiques and collectibles this week at Prices4Antiques.com.
