A drawing by Edna Boies Hopkins, American (1872 to 1937). "Figure Study", 1903. Graphite on paper. Signed and dated "E.B. Boies, Nov. 3, 1903" lower right. This work was completed prior to her marriage to James R. Hopkins, the noted American Impressionist. Boies was a well known white-line woodcut artist who studied with Nordfeldt in Provincetown and in Paris and Cincinnati.
