A Howe Military School Sword , with tapered double-edged chromed steel blade with etched laurel branches, school crest and motto of Fides Et Honor and Howe Military School on reverse, marked on ricasso N.S. Meyer & Co./Trade/Spartan/Mark/N.S. Meyer Inc. with squirrel and U.S. shield, cast gilt brass cross-form guard with coiled rope and eagle head terminals, cast gilt brass pommel with slot for sword knot and embossed eagles on each side, silver imitation wire wrapped grip (Peterson, 1965: 183); circa 1920s modeled after West Point cadet sword.
