Musket; Enfield, Percussion, 1861 Tower, Civil War, Confederate, Gettysburg Relic.

A Confederate 1861 Tower Enfield from the Gettysburg Battlefield, 39.25" long round barrel with walnut stock and lock plate marked with crown behind hammer and "1861 Tower" in front. "GETTYSBURG" neatly pin-punched into the blackened brass trigger guard tang. Barrel and lock have even deep rust brown patina.

Has the serial number on top of the butt plate tang and also a large letter "S" just in front of it, which proves this is Confederate. Wood has screw hole through stock, 2 3/4" in front of lock, which once supported it in a museum or G.A.R. display. Complete with ramrod.
