A Chippendale tall case clock by George Woltz of Hagerstown, Maryland. Cherry with an old mellow finish and yellow pine secondary wood. Ogee feet with an inset panel on the lower case. Molded waist, reeded quarter columns and an overlapping door with scalloped top. Original paint on the face includes the signature and strawberries. The dovetailed hood has turned pilasters and broken arch crest with carved rosettes. Typewritten provenance inside the case. ...[more information available via subscription]
