A watercolor painting of a Wisconsin Farmstead by Paul Seifert (American, 1846 to 1921), late 19th century, on buff colored paper. A charming depiction of a farmstead with rolling hills in the background; the farmer is tending to his horse and buggy while another appears to be going hunting, rifle on shoulder and dog at his side.

Note: Paul Seifert (1846 to 1921) was a German-born American affiliated with Wisconsin. Most active during the decade of 1875 to 1885, he traveled his local area (Richland, Grant, Sauk and Iowa Counties) in search of farmers willing to pay $2.50 for a painting of their farmstead.
