Wayne Beam Morrell (American, born 1923)
Born in New Jersey in 1923, Wayne Morrell continues to produce impressionistic works at his home and studio in Rockport, Massachusetts. He received his formal training in draftsmanship and commercial art at the Philadelphia School of Industrial Arts and also attended Drexel Institute. Morrell belongs to several art societies, including the Rockport Art Association; he has exhibited widely in the National Academy of Design, Allied Artists of America, American Watercolor Society, and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, among others.Information courtesy of Skinner, Inc., September 2006.
