CATALOGUE NOTE: Ferdinand Barbedienne died in 1892, at which time his nephew took over the firm and renamed the celebrated French foundry Leblanc Barbedienne. Commissioned in 1806 after the victory at Austerlitz by Emperor Napoleon I at the peak of his fortunes the Arc de Triomphe remains one of the most celebrated monuments in Paris....[more information available via subscription]
